The Undercoat Tool has a wider comb that gets down to your dog's undercoat to get rid of any unwanted hair that could result in matting if not removed, and cause discomfort for your pet. The Dog Comb features an ergonomic handle, with soft touch thumb pads that provide a comfortable fit in your hand whilst grooming. The Dog Undercoat Tool will help to keep your dog's coat healthy and glossy, without any unnecessary, painful tugging or pulling on their fur and skin.

To use the tool, gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth. The steel teeth of the comb will slide easily into the undercoat, pulling away any loose hairs. Always begin gently to ensure your dog has an enjoyable grooming session. If your dog does enjoy grooming, more pressure can be applied to remove more unwanted hair. Always pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes upset or stressed.

Tips for grooming: Grooming your pet is the perfect way to create a bond, but to make sure it’s an enjoyable experience for you both, your dog needs to be introduced to it slowly. Make sure your dog is always relaxed before you begin and, preferably, has just exercised. Use any grooming tools gently and avoid pulling on any knots in their coat or tugging on their skin. Give your dog lots of reassurance all the way through to make them more comfortable. Always pause or end any grooming session if your dog shows any signs of stress. It’s best, at first, to keep your grooming sessions short and as your dog becomes more used to the process slowly increasing the length of your sessions.

Our standard delivery charge is £4.99 for orders under £69. For orders over £69 delivery is free of charge.

For non-UK Mainland addresses including Scottish Islands and Scottish Highlands, a charge of £19.99 will apply.

We do not currently ship to Northern Ireland

We offer a next working day delivery service for UK mainland addresses when orders are placed before midday Monday-Thursday at a cost of £9.99.

Delivery rates for our frozen products are based on next day delivery due to the perishable nature of these products and therefore will incur a £6.99 charge. Frozen products will be delivered the next working day and you must be available to accept the goods within those times. If you are unable to accept the goods and the goods are returned to our warehouse, due to the perishable nature of these products we are unable to provide a refund.

If you are not 100% happy with your purchase from Pets & Friends, you can return it to us within 28 days of placing your order. Please let us know you wish to cancel your order within 14 days. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

All goods must be returned unused, as new, in a saleable condition with the original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item has not been returned to us in a saleable condition.
