Playtime is an important part of training and bonding with your dog right from a young age. Here at Pets & Friends, you can take playtime to the next level with our fantastic range of dog toys.

You should always offer your dog a wide range of toys to choose from and rotate on a regular basis. Even if they have a favourite- changing things up occasionally will help keep them stimulated, especially if they spend periods of time alone at home.

From classic squeakers through to tough dog toys, you and your dog can enjoy hours of fun throughout their lifetime. Our collection includes customer favourites such as KONG dog toys, slow feeders, interactive dog toys and tennis balls. Shop the range online today.

Why does my dog need a toy?

Toys offer both mental and physical stimulation for your dog. This can stop them from forming destructive behaviours if they are bored; and they’re also a great way to bond with your dog!

What are interactive dog toys?

Interactive toys get everyone involved! Take your fetch toys to the park during walkies or even in the living room, you can spend quality time together and your dog gets the mental and physical stimulation they need. These include fetch toys, rope toys and reward-based games which you can play together.

What is an occupier?

Occupier toys keep your dog entertained when you don’t have time to play. Ideal for dogs who are home alone during the day or for keeping them distracted during stressful periods (such as firework season!) These include slow feeder toys, foraging toys, long-lasting chew toys and puzzles.

My dog loves to cuddle, can I give them a soft toy?

Absolutely! Comforting toys such as plush animals and soft blankets can be a great comfort to dogs from when they are a pup through to old age. They can help calm your dog during stressful periods and help comfort them if they are alone for periods of time.

Top Tip! If your dog likes to have a comforter, give them an old item of clothing or blanket which carries your scent. Especially if your dog is new to your home, as your familiar scent acts as a comforter itself.
