Welcome Back to Pets & Friends and Kennelgate!


As an essential retailer, we have been here for you throughout these strange times since lockdown back in March both online and at your local Kennelgate and Pets & Friends store.

As more people begin to venture out and adapt to the “new normal” of shopping, we want to assure you that we are taking precautions to keep both our customers and our dedicated team members safe.

What’s new?

Opening hours

Our store opening hours may differ for the time being- this allows our staff to thoroughly clean the stores down after trading to ensure our hygiene standards are met. You can check our local store opening times here.

Social Distancing

You’ll see a few differences around our stores- we now feature social distancing markers across the store to help both staff and customers keep a safe distance whilst out shopping. 

You may also have to wait at busy times as we are limiting the number of customers within the store to ensure we can stick to social distancing guidelines. We thank you for your patience during peak shopping hours.

We also have a completely contactless handover system for our grooming salons, so your pets can be pampered without compromising on safety. For more details please pop down to your local pet store where our team members will be happy to help with any salon queries. Our self-washing stations are also now open following social distancing guidelines.


Hygiene is of the upmost importance. Our staff are regularly washing their hands and cleaning down touch points in store areas to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We also have hand sanitiser available at till points for both customers and staff to use.


Our team members are kitted out the personal protective equipment and will always be wearing masks. We thank you for also wearing masks as you shop with us to help protect those who are potentially vulnerable to COVID 19.

Where possible, we ask our customers to pay via contactless and card payments to help our staff avoid handling cash.
